CK Group are working in partnership with a leading UK life sciences biotechnology company, to recruit for an experienced NGS Biostatistician at a Principal Scientist level to join them at their site based in London, on a permanent basis. Primarily site based, there is flexibility of hybrid working. A key role for the company as the successful candidate will be main point of contact for clients/ stakeholder and therefore will need to come with a strong understanding of genetics and NGS applications technology within the drug discovery arena.

The Role:

You will also be responsible for overseeing the delivery of NGS capabilities including design, development and utilising NGS platforms for applications such as whole genome sequencing, genotyping and gene expression.  
As an expert in this field, you be working closely with stakeholders and clients to interpret, analyse the  data and present the conclusions.Other Responsibilities Include:

Create, maintain, and improve computational workflows and algorithms for analysing NGS datasets.
Working with bioinformaticians and scientists to design experiments, interpret results, and implement bioinformatics solutions.
Process raw NGS data to identify genomic alterations.
Design, build, and maintain databases for storing and accessing genetic variants.
Frequent client interactions discussing NGS capabilities and presenting solutions to meet client scientific requirements.Your Background:

PhD in biostatistics, bioinformatics, or equivalent combined with a strong understanding of genetics, genomics, and extensive experience with high-throughput sequencing data.
NGS experience in the drug discovery field is advantageous. 
Track record designing, presenting and discussing NGS based solutions with clients.
Experience working with and utilising Illumina instrumentation and associated products, combined with expertise in using Dragen software (advantageous).Apply:
