Do you have a scientific background with hands-on laboratory experience?
Would you like to work for a leading London-based clinical research organisation with a strong pipeline of clinical and laboratory projects?

My client is a leading clinical and laboratory service provider, specialising in a range of therapeutic areas and with the patient at the heart of their research. Using their specialist clinical trial platform, they play a key role in drug and vaccine development and are currently experiencing an impressive period of growth, so they are investing heavily in their state-of-the-art clinical and laboratory facilities in Central London. As a result, they are looking to expand their laboratory team by bringing on board a number of Laboratory Technicians.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading clinical research organisation within a team of knowledgeable and motivated scientists driving forward the testing of infectious and respiratory disease products in drug discovery and development.

Key Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician will include:
Receipt, processing and storage of clinical samples in a timely manner and in line with laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) / Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP).
Complete associated laboratory documentation, including lab books and GCP records.
Support laboratory housekeeping activities including reagent monitoring and equipment maintenance and calibration.
Conduct further sample analysis using specialist molecular and cellular assays as required.
Undertake laboratory training and technical upskilling.
Work effectively in the laboratory team, ensuring efficient communication within the wider organisation including clinical teams.

To be considered for this Laboratory Technician vacancy, you will need the following skills and experience:
BSc / MSc in a Scientific discipline e.g., Biological Science, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, etc. or equivalent working experience.
Demonstrable experience working within a laboratory environment (academic or industry).
Understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) or GxP.
Experience of working collaboratively, whilst also being self-motivated when working independently.
Excellent communication skills and a personable nature to support relationship building within the broader team.
Experience working within a regulated laboratory e.g., GxP, GCP, GCLP is highly beneficial.

Please apply online or contact Katie-May Kress at CY Partners for more information.
The recruiter has stated that all applicants for this job should be able to prove that they are legally entitled to work in the UK. CY Partners is acting as an Employment Business / Agency in relation to this vacancy.

Where to Advertise Biotech Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise biotech jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, academic networks and trade channels that reach biotech R&D and bioprocessing talent. The candidate pool spans life scientists, computational biologists, regulatory specialists and biomanufacturing engineers — each with distinct professional networks and job search behaviours. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that biotech professionals expect. Specialist platforms, academic channels and sector-specific communities each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by BiotechnologyJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise biotech roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

Biotech Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Biotech Jobs UK 2026: roles, salaries and the genomics, cell therapy and AI-driven drug discovery hiring trends shaping UK biotech careers. Biotechnology is creating jobs at a rate that few other sectors can match. New disciplines are emerging from research labs and entering commercial hiring pipelines, existing roles are fragmenting into deeper specialisms, and the technologies driving it all — from AI-assisted drug discovery to next-generation gene editing — are advancing faster than the workforce can keep pace with. For job seekers, this creates an unusual challenge. In most industries, career planning means navigating a relatively familiar landscape and identifying where your skills fit. In biotech, that landscape is being actively redrawn. The roles generating the most hiring activity in 2028 may look quite different from the ones appearing in job adverts today. That's not a reason to feel overwhelmed — it's a reason to get informed. The candidates who thrive in this market aren't always those with the longest CVs or the most letters after their name. They're the ones who understand where the sector is heading: which disciplines are gaining commercial traction, which technologies are driving employer demand, and how the definition of a "biotech job" is expanding well beyond traditional pharmaceuticals and research roles. This article breaks down what the UK biotech jobs market is likely to look like over the next three years — covering emerging job titles, the technologies reshaping hiring, the skills employers are prioritising right now, and how to position your career ahead of the curve rather than behind it.
