QC Technician

Temporary initially but could lead to a permanent position

Pay Rate - £13 p/h

Hours - 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a QC Technician to join a busy quality team within a manufacturing environment. This role would suit someone with strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and previous experience within a quality or manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out quality control inspections, testing materials and finished products, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with company procedures and GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out quality control checks on incoming materials and finished products

Confirm the identity and condition of incoming materials

Sample and test incoming materials in line with raw material specifications

Record and maintain accurate quality control documentation and test results

Ensure all materials are correctly status-labelled and identified

Disposition and status-label returned or non-conforming materials

Support environmental monitoring activities and sample collection procedures

Maintain and update supplier and quality control databases

Assist with periodic material retesting where required

Work closely with QA and production teams to ensure quality standards are maintained

Identify and escalate quality concerns in line with company procedures

Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks

Requirements

Previous experience within a quality control or manufacturing environment

Good understanding of GMP standards and quality procedures

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Confident using computer systems and databases

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good numeracy and record-keeping skills

Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

Qualifications & Experience

Good general education including GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)

Previous experience within a quality or manufacturing role
