Standard Products Manager required for a pharmaceutical equipment manufacturer based in Liverpool. The Standard Products Manager will be responsible for the co-ordination of Standard Product sales from receipt of order to despatch and, where applicable, installation and validation. This role will be multi-disciplinary, involving project management, procurement, and product knowledge skills to facilitate the manufacture and delivery of standard products. Strong knowledge and understanding of the management of Standard part stock, sub-assembly stock levels, made-to-order manufactured goods, and minimum order quantities with appropriate price-breaks are essential to this role. Building and enhancing relationships with the company's global distribution partners will be important to help maintain customer satisfaction and enhance company reputation as a market leader in its field.

Standard Products Manager Job Overview

Maintaining appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels at individual component and sub-assembly level so that lead times to clients are kept competitive
Utilising the company MRP system for the raising and issuing of purchase orders in the standard product supply chain
Identifying cost saving opportunities in the supply chain
Working with Procurement to identify potential new supplier opportunities
Working with Procurement to improve existing long-term supplier relationships, with a focus on Cost vs Quality to maximise market opportunity
Management of purchase orders within the supply chain and highlighting risks to rising costs and possibilities for cost increase mitigation
Processing sales orders on the company Sage system
Communicating with clients with regards to the issuing of Order Acknowledgements, Project Plans, Shipping, and general updates
Processing and releasing Works Orders and Picking Lists in a timely and efficient manner
Producing handover packages to the assembly team so sub-assemblies and assemblies are built and tested at the appropriate time
Preparing packing, shipping, and customs documentation
Monthly WIP reporting to Senior Management and Directors on individual projects
Excellent communicator both internally and externally, providing feedback to the supply chain and providing progress reports for internal stakeholders
Raising and managing of non-conformances or customer issues relating to standard products
Ownership of the Standard Products pricelist with the support of Senior Management and Directors
Strive for the continual improvement of the Standard Product range, whether from a cost / price perspective, lead time improvements, or increasing efficiencies
Work closely with the Sales team, Senior Management, and Directors to promote year on year revenue growth
Work collaboratively with internal departments, such as Goods In, Engineering, Operations, and Sales
Experience of MRP and EBQ

Standard Products Manager Job Requirements

Strong communication and organisational skills are essential to ensure effective support from other departments where needed, and the on-time completion of tasks in support of the final delivery.
In-depth commercial acumen and understanding is critical to this role, with monthly financial reporting required for each project, along with the ongoing tracking on gross margin percentages, identifying reasons and justifications for overspend, highlighting areas where costs may be decreased or profits increased, and opportunities for CAPEX investments to promote greater internal efficiencies.
Previous experience in a similar role or Procurement and Supply Chain Management at a senior level
Previous experience within the Engineering sector highly desirable
Strong understanding of supply chain management and analysis
Strong Commercial & negotiation skills
Analytical mindset to improve efficiencies
Experience communicating with and managing customers worldwide
Good IT skills
Team player with a leadership background

Standard Products Manager Salary & Benefits

Salary dependent on experience £40k-£45k

Flexible starts and finished 7.5 hours per day plus 30 minutes lunch

1pm finish Fridays

Wednesday and Fridays from home

4% pension
