Electrical Site Supervisor – Hyperscale Data Centre Project – East London

An international engineering contractor delivering cutting-edge data centre and industrial projects across the UK and Europe is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor for a high-profile project in East London.

This permanent, site-based role is ideal for a technically strong trade-qualified supervisor with a background in large-scale electrical installations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing on-site activities, coordinating teams, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise electrical site works, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of installations according to project drawings and IFC scope.

  • Coordinate daily site activities, manage work packages, and oversee both direct labour and subcontractor teams.

  • Enforce quality assurance protocols, conduct audits, manage snag items, and support handover documentation.

  • Interpret and manage redline drawings, test packs, isometrics, and specifications for electrical systems.

  • Ensure compliance with RAMS, tool and equipment safety standards, and issue necessary work permits (e.g. hot work).

  • Support procurement processes including tracking of material deliveries, IRs, and on-site verification.

  • Conduct toolbox talks, participate in incident investigations, and uphold a culture of proactive safety and quality.

  • Monitor and report site progress, workforce tracking, and subcontractor performance daily.

  • Collaborate with other trades, coordinate overlapping scopes, and ensure site cleanliness and organisation.

    Candidate Requirements:

  • Electrical trade qualification or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience supervising electrical works.

  • Proven background in data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, or high-spec commercial projects.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs, and SLDs.
    Strong understanding of material lead times, labour planning, and commissioning readiness.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills with a strong client-facing approach.

  • Based within commutable distance to East London.
