Contracts & Proposals Specialist
Cambridge | Hybrid/Remote
Up to £50k + benefits
Ready to join a business where your work directly supports clinical research that improves patient outcomes worldwide?
This is a pivotal role within a global health technology organisation operating at the forefront of clinical trials and digital biomarkers. Backed by decades of scientific validation, the business supports CNS and broader therapeutic research through reliable, patient-friendly technologies used both in clinic and at home.
You’ll sit at the heart of sales activity, owning the proposals and contracts process end to end. Working closely with sales, scientific, operational, finance, and legal teams, you’ll help shape winning proposals, build robust budgets, and negotiate contracts that support long-term client partnerships.
This is a fast-paced, detail-driven role with real influence. If you enjoy translating complex technical and scientific requirements into clear, commercial documentation - and you like being close to decision-making - this will suit you well.
What you’ll be doing:
Proposals & budgets

  • Owning the development of clinical trial proposals and budgets
  • Shaping clear, persuasive submissions from complex scientific and operational inputs
  • Partnering with sales and internal teams to support deal strategy and client discussions
  • Managing proposal, contract, and RFI data within CRM systems
  • Improving proposal quality, consistency, and turnaround
    Contracts
  • Drafting and negotiating Statements of Work and start-up agreements
  • Working with legal, finance, and operations to finalise commercial terms
  • Ensuring contracts align with budgets, compliance, and delivery
    RFIs
  • Coordinating accurate, high-quality RFI responses
  • Managing internal contributions and submission timelines
    What they’re looking for:
  • Experience in contracts, proposals, or commercial operations within clinical research, biotech, medtech, or a similar technical environment
  • Strong background in proposal writing, budgeting, and contract development
  • Solid commercial and financial understanding
  • Confident user of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, science, operations, finance, and legal teams
  • Highly organised, analytical, and detail-focused
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities without losing quality
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and structured documentation processes
It would be beneficial if you had exposure to CNS-focused research or related therapeutic areas, and/or experience with digital clinical trial tools such as eCOA platforms.
Even if you don’t tick every box, this business is open to strong commercial operators who can learn quickly and add value.
    What’s on offer:
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays (including a Christmas shutdown), plus a holiday buy/sell scheme
  • Generous pension contribution
  • Private healthcare and cashback schemes
  • Life assurance and employee assistance programme
You’ll be joining a purpose-led organisation where commercial success and global health impact go hand in hand. The environment is collaborative, intellectually rigorous, and genuinely mission-driven.
