We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join Lonza AG as a Biotechnologist within our vibrant Manufacturing team based at the Slough office.

As a Biotechnologist, you’ll be at the cutting edge of innovation, contributing to the production of life‑saving drug substances that have a real impact on patients’ lives.


This role is perfect for someone eager to launch their career in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and gain valuable experience working within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-regulated environment.


Key responsibilities:

  • Operate and control a variety of pharmaceutical equipment and processes.
  • Supporting customer and regulatory audits as and when requested.
  • Manufacture drug substances according to GMP standards.
  • Participate in key safety training sessions.
  • Apply and complete GMP documentation - right first time.
  • Following procedures for sampling and testing.
  • Actively communicate and collaborate with various functional areas to champion strong working relationships.
  • Engage in problem‑solving, root cause analysis, and resolution to ensure perfect operations.
  • Ensure the safety management system is updated accordingly with events.

Key requirements:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably within a GMP environment, is highly desirable..
  • An exciting in understand the use of eg. Bioreactors, chromatography columns or general pharmaceutical equipment.
  • Good problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Outstanding communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Ambitious approach with a dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
