City St George’s University is currently experiencing a severe IT incident affecting the Tooting Campus only. As a result, it is not possible to apply using the link above at present, and we will continue to extend the application deadline until the matter is resolved. Please check back for further updates, as there is currently no alternative application process available. If you have any additional questions about the role requirements, please email.

We are seeking to recruit a Bioinformatician, for an initial period of 18 months, funded by an ARPA-H LIGHT (lymphatic imaging, genomics, and phenotyping technologies) grant, a multicenter study which overall purpose is to accelerate transformative advances in lymphatic medicine.

The successful applicant will be based at City St George’s University London (Tooting Campus) working in the Lymphovascular Research group collaborating with computational, clinical and laboratory scientists. The post holder will support the group by analysing genomic data to identify and characterise genes underlying Primary Lymphoedema utilising a range of computational and statistical approaches.

We are seeking a candidate with a background in computational biology and experience in the analysis of genetic data. Whilst prior knowledge of the lymphatic system is not essential, a good understanding of disease genetics will be highly valuable. Strong organisational, time-management and communication skills are essential for the role. In order to help to develop the programme of genetics at City St. George’s, we particularly welcome applicants who can demonstrate academic ambition, initiative and independent thinking.
