Rate: Up to £32ph (Personal CIS)
Hours:
45 hours per week (additional available)
Overtime also available.
Contract: 4-8 months’ worth

Nelson Permanent Placements are currently recruiting for Welders to join our client who are an industry-leading Construction/Engineering Contractor. Their workshop is in Swadlincote (where an initial 2-hour Weld Test will take place).
They are currently looking for Welders to weld pipes to a high standard (ranging from 2”, 6” and 10” sch stainless steel). You will be helping fit and cleaning pipes on-site.
Please note - You will be required to go to the Client’s Office for 1 day initially for a 2-hour Weld Test. (This will involve both BSEN and ASME Weld tests).
Welder Requirements:

  • 2-3 years’ experience as a Welder (within Oil & Gas/Food & Bev/Pharmaceutical or Petrochemical settings)
  • Proven knowledge in Stainless Steel Process pipe work.
  • Tig Welding (with Coding) or previous Coding to ASME IX & BSEN 9606.
  • You must have Safety boots, Fire retardant welding jacket, Air fed welding screen, purge pipes and bungs, calibrated welding plant 415v, and grinder and Toolbox with hand tools.
  • Experience in welding ½” to 12” Stainless (dairy pipe work to wall thickness) of Sch 10s Sch 40 & Sch 80
