The role we’re hiring for is a Water Hygiene Engineer to join our team based in the Midlands area. You’ll be responsible for key water hygiene and treatment tasks, including temperature monitoring, water sampling, cleaning and disinfecting water systems, and ensuring compliance with HSG274/ACOP L8 guidelines. The successful candidate should have a mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and a full UK driving license. Plumbing experience is a plus.

What you receive for joining us:

We’re looking to offer a salary of £25,000 - £32,000 (DOE). In addition, we offer Company Pension and Healthcare, 25 days annual holiday + public holidays, financial loyalty bonus, 40 hour working week, overtime at weekends and other times is available. Company van, uniform and expenses paid. 

Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:

Temperature monitoring of tap outlets, tanks, and cylinders; visual inspections of water systems; inspection and servicing of thermostatic mixer valves.
Cleaning and disinfection of shower heads, pipework systems, cold water storage tanks, and cooling towers in accordance with BS 8558:2011.
Conducting water sampling and analysing closed systems using a site test kit.
Descaling and internal inspections of water heaters to ensure optimal performance. Can you show experience in some of these areas:

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and technical ability, with the capability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
Ability to work unsupervised, take initiative, and overcome challenges to complete tasks efficiently.
Confidence in discussing technical issues, maintaining accurate engineer reports and logbooks, and providing excellent customer service.
Capable of lifting, carrying, and climbing; plumbing experience is beneficial; must hold a full UK driving license.Do you see yourself reflected in the description above?
