A leading biopharmaceutical organisation is seeking aVirus Production Shift Technicianto join a high-containment manufacturing team producing viral antigens for global vaccine use. This restricted-access department focuses on the production of inactivated viral material (including Foot and Mouth Disease and Blue Tongue Virus) under strict GMP and biosafety standards.

This hands-on role offers a unique opportunity to gain in-depth experience in aseptic operations and high-grade cleanroom environments, supporting the manufacture of life-changing veterinary vaccines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate as part of a rotating shift team (2 teams of 3: 1x Senior Technician, 2x Technicians)
  • Manufacture bulk volumes of inactivated viral antigens in accordance with UK biosafety, EHS, and GMP standards
  • Perform steam sterilisation, decontamination, and cleaning of production vessels and equipment
  • Maintain accurate, compliant batch records and documentation in accordance with GDP requirements
  • Manage departmental inventory and ensure equipment readiness through autoclave sterilisation
  • Conduct aseptic manufacturing operations in Grade A/B cleanroom environments

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or vaccine production environments
  • Familiarity with GMP-grade cleanrooms and aseptic techniques
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail
  • Comfortable following SOPs and working to tight operational timelines
  • IT proficiency, ideally with SAP/GBS or similar enterprise systems
  • Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills
