We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and time critical delivery of Class 7 Radiopharmaceutical Containers to hospitals throughout the UK.
We are recruiting in Cheshire, Staffordshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire & London (Central & Surrounding Areas)
This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as effective communication skills to liaise with customers and hospital staff.
Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a van for the delivery of time critical Class 7 Radiopharmaceutical Containers to UK hospitals.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate any issues or delays promptly.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns.
  • Perform basic mechanical checks on the vehicle as needed.
    Experience
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
  • Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Class 7 ADR Packaging and Radioactive Licence required, but training is available for the right candidate.

  • £25,400 per year
