My clientis is an award-winning international logistics provider, driven by a deep understanding of the fast-paced nature of global trade. They specialise in delivering bespoke freight solutions across the UK, Europe, and worldwide, offering flexible, fully tailored services that are designed to meet the unique needs of their clients. They are currently looking  to appoint a Transport Administrator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day coordination and efficiency of the transport network, where you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and top-tier customer service!

Key duties & Responsibilities:

As a Transport Administrator, you will be responsible for planning and allocating Pallet Network consignments and collections, ensuring maximum efficiency and compliance. You will support the drivers and warehouse teams with accurate documentation and serve as a key point of contact between depots and customers.

Plan and allocate consignments and collections for the local fleet, optimising vehicle usage and route efficiency.
Produce vehicle and load manifests, ensuring all customer paperwork is accurately prepared and delivered to the warehouse and drivers.
Liaise with drivers to coordinate returns to the depot and ensure smooth handovers.
Act as the main point of contact for depots and drivers, handling calls and email queries with professionalism and efficiency.
Provide excellent customer service support to both internal teams and external depots.
Assist the Line Manager with fleet headcount management and provide additional resources when required.
React promptly to any operational issues or emergencies that arise during the day.
Support any additional tasks as required by the Line Manager or a Company Director.
Requirements

Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:

Proven experience in a transport administration role.
Strong knowledge of driver hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
Strong IT skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
Recognised pass rate for GCSE in Maths and English.
A team player who can also work independently when needed.
