We have an excellent career opportunity for a Trainee Test Article Controller to join our team of Dose Formulation in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Position Summary:

In this role you will beassisting Dose Formulation department to provide and maintain an effective service to all user areas, across all Labcorp sites.

You perform a variety of test article and sample management responsibilities in compliance with appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines. You are also responsible for labeling, transferring, tracking, inventory reconciliation, archival, and disposal of test article and/or samples.

You assist in reviewing shipping paperwork against protocols and eNotes and coordinates retrieval, check out, and return of study related materials and documents appropriately.

You are also responsible for entry and accuracy of client material inventories, internal customer inquiries and requests, disposition of study specific test articles and samples and maintaining storage units in accordance with the Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), SOPs, and Policies and Procedures..

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills including attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality and effective communication skills

The essential job duties are:

  • Performing any combination of test article management, receipt, inventory and/or archiving tasks, including labelling, transferring, tracking, inventory, archival, shipping, and disposal of test article and controlled substances and/ or control article, formulation samples in line with local regulations
  • Using tracking systems as appropriate and communicating effectively with internal and external customers
  • Becoming competent with environmental system monitor as appropriate
  • Maintaining storage units
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of appropriate regulations and company/department Standard Operating Procedures
  • Be aware of the requirements of Good Laboratory Practice, and Health and Safety completing the training on the site repository and always ensure full compliance.
  • Be aware of the Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to Dose Formulation completing the training on the site repository and always ensure full compliance.
  • Understand the study protocol and associated study documents requirements for Dose Formulation
  • Recognize deviations ensuring supervisors are informed and document, as necessary.
  • Maintain storage units in accordance with GLPs, SOPs, and Policies and Procedures to ensure the integrity of study related materials and assists with organization of the units.
  • Support the on-call after hours process to respond/assist with storage unit alarms.
  • Compile the Hazard classing documentation
  • Other duties may be required as appropriate depending on site needs.

Education/Experience

  • Minimum GCSE grade 4-9 standard or equivalent in 5+ subjects including Maths, English and Chemistry. Experience may be substituted for education.
  • First experience within logistics, pharmaceutical industry, hospital or community pharmacy - medical and science based experience
  • Ability to use a variety of computer applications and proficient at the department specific software used
  • Excellent documentation skills and eye for detail
  • Ability to work flexibly including weekends; within a team and independently once every 4-6 weeks
