Job Title: Trainee Flexographic Printer
Location: Royston
Salary: £33,000

We’re working with a globally recognised labels manufacturer based in Royston, known for innovation, quality, and investment in people. They are now looking to bring on a Trainee Flexographic Printer as part of their commitment to developing skilled professionals from within the print sector.

The Opportunity:You’ll be trained to operate Flexographic Printing equipment to produce high-quality labels for a wide range of industries, including food and pharmaceutical – all to ISO 9001, BRC, and PS9000 standards.

Whether you’ve worked on digital presses, litho machines, or other printing technologies, full training will be provided, allowing you to transition your existing skills into the flexo world.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate flexographic printing equipment following detailed job specifications (training provided)

Learn to set up and run jobs efficiently, minimising material waste and ensuring colour accuracy

Work with tools like the X-rite spectrophotometer and GMK for colour matching

Support quality control processes and contribute to continuous improvement

Maintain and clean equipment, reporting issues as needed

Work closely with supervisors to develop your skills and progress

About You:
Experience in any print environment (digital, litho, large format, etc.)

Eager to learn and develop a long-term career in flexographic printing

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Confident using PCs and technical tools

Shift Pattern:Rotating weekly shift:

6am – 2pm (Monday to Friday)

2pm – 10pm (Monday to Friday)
