My client is a leading precision engineering company based in Farlington, Portsmouth, specialising in the manufacture of high-quality moulding tools. Their expertise covers all forms of spark and wire erosion, advanced 3D CNC milling, and toolmaking for a wide variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, automotive, and trade moulding.

Using a state-of-the-art 3D solid modelling system, they can import data from multiple sources, generate complex cutter paths, and feed them directly into our CNC machines. Their highly skilled team of toolmakers ensure all tooling is finished to the highest standards, on time, and at competitive rates.

They pride ourselves on offering a complete end-to-end service, from concept through to production, but can also deliver any single aspect of the toolmaking process with maximum efficiency, whether the project is simple or highly complex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture, assemble, and finish mould tools to exact specifications

  • Perform servicing, maintenance, and diagnostics on mould tools

  • Operate and set up CNC machines for milling and turning

  • Carry out spark erosion and wire erosion processes

  • Undertake precision surface and cylindrical grinding

  • Work from technical drawings and 3D models to produce accurate components

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure jobs are completed to tight deadlines

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

    Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in mould tool assembly and servicing

  • Strong background in spark erosion, wire erosion, and CNC machining

  • Skilled in surface and cylindrical grinding, turning, and milling

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD data

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and precision

  • Flexible and able to work independently or as part of a team

  • Full, clean UK driving licence
