Role Overview


Job Title: Account Manager

Location: Field Based – Postcodes: LE, CV, NN, MK, LU,SG,AL + EN

Reports to: Divisional Sales Manager

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5hrs per week)


Position Summary


Carl Zeiss Vision UK are recruiting an Account Manager to successfully grow new and existing accounts, to ensure our ambitious growth strategies are achieved.


Responsibilities


• Acquire new customers within the territory to drive commercial performance.

• Drive ZEISS revenue from existing independent opticians, through a long-term partnership approach, to achieve continued growth and success for both the customer(s) and CZV UK Ltd.

• Identifying commercial opportunities to create value for accounts, and successfully manage the delivery and execution of these opportunities.

• Manage all day-to-day aspects of customer accounts to achieve revenue growth and achieve business KPIs, goals and strategy.

• Evaluate the overall commercial effectiveness of the territory, and customer accounts, identifying opportunities for improvements.

• Undertake data analysis of the commercial opportunities that are available to create value for customers and create innovation options to address these.

• Deliver insights to the customer to support their continued success.

• Be the key point of contact for customer(s).

• Curate data from across new markets, the wider industry and business models to identify commercial opportunities.

• To operate within company budget, and at all times be an ambassador for ZEISS.

• To keep the CRM system up to date, and provide monthly updates of progress versus KPIs, key barriers and intelligence, implementing this data daily to drive commercial performance.


Required Knowledge & Experience


Essential Criteria

• Proven capability in new customer acquisition.

• Optical dispensing/ retail sales experience

• Demonstrated sales experience – credible at achieving KPIs and delivering growth in market through managing the existing customer base and securing new customers.

• Business to business sales experience.

• Clean driving License or at most 3 points.

• Analytical and problem-solving skill set.

• Proven capability in being able to work to deadlines and manage additional projects.

• Previous sales experience in the optical/contact lens/medical devices/pharmaceutical industries.


Desirable Criteria


• Proven academics: Degree qualified or equivalent.
