Technical Development Chemist!

Location: Somerset, UK- Due to Location you must be able to drive and have your own car
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you a passionate and innovative scientist looking to make your mark in the food industry? We are seeking a Technical Development Chemist to join our dynamic team and elevate our commercial product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage outputs of our process and applications laboratory with success.
Lead technical process development for our commercial product range.
Create and develop products that meet the demands of the market, in collaboration with the management team.
Innovate and guide the development of new product applications, providing technical support based on customer feedback.
Attend industry training courses and seminars as required.Requirements:

Minimum BSc, preferably MSc, in Food Science, Chemistry, or Biochemistry.
5-8 years of technical development experience in a laboratory setting, ideally with proteins, peptides, or plant-based nutritional ingredients.
Proven track record in laboratory management, including personnel oversight and quality management systems.
A creative and innovative mindset to drive product and application development.
Strong leadership skills in NPD projects and collaboration with production teams.
Exceptional ability to demonstrate the technical benefits of products at a high level.
