As aTechnical Assistant at Sodexo inHarlow,you are passionate about technology and looking to kickstart your career in a dynamic and innovative medical equipment environment. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Technical Assistant to join our team and contribute to our success.
 
Your focus will be to provide planned and remedial repair on a wide range of biomedical devices across sites in the Essex area. You will work closely with other Biomedical Engineers to ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are achieved and that a safe and effective biomedical engineering service is carried out. In addition you will complete associated administration relating to your daily activity. 
 
This is a varied role as you will have the opportunity to carry out general administrative functions required by the department to assist the biomedical engineers and the Team Leader.

What you’ll do:   

  • Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on a range of medical devices, when appropriately trained.
  • Complete all admin work associated with planned and remedial repairs  
  • Exceed KPI targets to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Always maintain safe working practices and comply with the Health and Safety policy.
  • Maintain stock levels of spare parts.
 
What you bring: 

  • At least 1 year of experience ideal in a field related to engineering or similarly technical in nature showing a good technical aptitude.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • A strong commitment to Quality objectives and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
