The Role

We are looking for aSystems Realisation Engineerwith hands-on experience inelectronics, mechanical systems, and fluid/pneumatic systems. This role plays a key part in bridging design and implementation, ensuring our advanced space-based biotechnology platforms operate efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work withelectronics and testing, including system integration, wiring, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
  • Applymechanical knowledgeto support system design, assembly, and integration.
  • Design, test, and implementfluid and pneumatic systemsfor pharmaceutical manufacturing in microgravity.
  • Assist inprototyping and assembly, ensuring systems move smoothly from concept to final product.
  • Supportenvironmental testing, analysing results and making necessary design refinements.
  • Work closely with engineers, biotechnologists, and space systems experts to ensure seamless integration of different system components.
  • Identify and implementprocess improvementsfor assembly, testing, and system deployment.

About You

You are a problem-solver with strong technical expertise and practical experience inelectronics, mechanics, and fluid systems. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working on complex projects that push engineering and biotechnology boundaries.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience inelectronics and testing, including system wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding ofmechanical engineering, materials, and structural integrity.
  • Experience designing and working withfluid and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity withprototyping, CNC machining, and mechanical assembly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work inmultidisciplinary teams, translating technical challenges into practical solutions.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience in thespace, aerospace, defence, or biotechindustries.
  • Proficiency inSolidWorks or Dassault 3D Experiencefor system design.
  • Understanding ofGD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and manufacturing best practices.
  • Knowledge ofPLM/PDM (Product Lifecycle Management) systemsfor design tracking.
  • Experience withenvironmental testingin extreme conditions.
