Role Summary

Aubay is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Specialist (SDET) to support a leading client in delivering business-critical infrastructure and software solutions. This role focuses on enhancing software quality through automated testing and comprehensive testing methodologies, ensuring robust and reliable systems.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing test frameworks, collaborating with developers, and implementing best practices to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience with Python for test automation development.
  • Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test cases.
  • In-depth knowledge of test-driven development (TDD), integration testing, and end-to-end (E2E) testing processes.
  • Experience implementing multi-layered testing approaches, including unit testing, system testing, and data flow validation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with developers to ensure features are testable and meet high-quality standards.
  • Experience identifying and reporting defects early in the development lifecycle.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of model validation and performance validation test script development.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance best practices, including addressing component interactions, data flow, and novel use cases.
  • Proficiency in using test automation tools and frameworks.

Prior experience in a hybrid role combining software development and quality assurance.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks to validate infrastructure and software solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure quality is embedded into features from the ground up.
  • Perform integration testing and validate interactions between components and overall system behaviour.
  • Conduct end-to-end (E2E) testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage of system functionality.
  • Identify, document, and report defects promptly, minimising production issues.
  • Ensure effective implementation of multi-layered testing approaches, covering unit testing, integration testing, and system testing
