We are building a novel software stack to unlock the power of industry-leading in-memory computing technology. Our stack enables AI developers to transform their Machine Learning models into highly optimized machine code for the Axelera hardware platform easily and efficiently and to run DL applications with high efficiency and performance.

We are now seeking aSoftware Lab Technicianto join our dynamic team.

As a Software Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining IT infrastructure for development, testing and quality assurance. You will work closely with software and the hardware development teams to create the infrastructure needed for end-to-end testing strategies for many hardware platforms using our inference accelerator.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the physical IT infrastructure of our Systems lab: networking, machine setup and configuration.
2. Extend the Systems Lab with new HW platforms under test.
3. Collaborate with our IT professionals to enable correct access to our Systems lab.
4. Perform initial testing of new software features as part of our regular release flow.
5. Assist in the automation of our software product.
6. Identify early customer-facing issues, help with the analysis and debugging and work closely with developers to facilitate their resolution.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvements.
8. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in software engineering and software quality assurance.
9. Assist engineers and multi-functional teams in lab setup and planning based on given space, power and cooling capabilities.
10. Setup, manage and maintain test hardware systems including debugging setup related issues.
11. Manage and maintain sufficient inventory of key equipment including cables, connectors and adapters.
12. Occasionally assist development teams with manual testing as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience or qualifications up to a degree level of technical expertise.
2. Basic IT system management experience.
3. Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing, with a deep understanding of the following technical areas.
4. Knowledge of basic scripting tools like Bash, awk and sed.
5. Basic knowledge of Python.
6. Highly preferred: understanding of testing frameworks like pytest and testing flows.
7. Ability to read and understand technical documents.
8. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
9. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Required Experience:

1. Basic IT system management experience.
2. Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing.
3. Experience with troubleshooting computer and computer network related issues.
4. Using basic hand tools, multimeter and other electronic tools.
5. Familiarity with Linux.
6. Familiarity with key networking concepts and configurations.
7. Experience with IT support is a plus.
