Job Description

Valeport is a world leader in the design and manufacture of monitoring instruments for the offshore, environmental, water treatment and water distribution markets. Due to increasing demand and an expanding range of products, this role has arisen.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs service and repair for instruments manufactured by Valeport returned by customers for periodic service, repair and re-calibration. This may include electronic fault finding, mechanical dis-assembly / reassembly and complete instrument testing.
Plans and prioritizes the day-to-day workload to ensure efficient use of resources.
Documents and performs all work in accordance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
Collaborates closely with various departments involved in the service work to ensure efficient performance.
Uses our business management system software.
Performs other related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications / Experience:
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths Grade C or above.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong general computer skills.
Practical mechanical ability.
PCB handling and repairs along with soldering experience.
Good analytical thinking.
Dynamic, pro-active approach to the workload.
Good planning skills with the ability to work to critical timelines.
Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
Flexible to the requirements of the job.
Comfortable working in a team environment, with a flexible working approach and willingness to work according to the company’s Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety policies.
