Stroud Resourcing is recruiting for a Service Lead - Biochemistry to join an impressive private healthcare provider based in London. This is a full-time role (working 37.5 hours per week across 5 days, predominantly Monday – Friday plus occasional weekends on rotation) offering a salary of up to £75,000 and an excellent benefits package.

It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining this well-equipped research facility. They cover all disciplines in pathology including allergy, biochemistry & endocrinology, haematology & blood transfusion, immunology and more. Each of their laboratories benefits from constant investment in the latest technologies and analytical instrumentation. 

In this Lead Biochemistry role, you can expect to: 

Be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the laboratories, ensuring the speedy & accurate processing of samples and monitoring & resolving of outstanding lists.
Forge positive strong relationships with Consultant Biochemists, ensuring results needing clinical escalation happens in real time.
Employee engagement, retention & development must be high on your agenda.
Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained, be responsible for staff rotas, validate new tests & equipment, and review SOP’s and other documentation as required.To apply for this Head Biochemistry role, you must be a qualified Biomedical Scientist (with current HCPC registration) with previous experience managing or supervising teams of biomedical scientists. We welcome applications from the Private Sector and NHS. We also welcome applications from Deputy Service Leads - Biochemistry looking to progress into a management role. To receive the top end of the salary you must be currently performing a like for like role and have completed a Master’s Degree.
