Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our Bristol / Cardiff Team as a Field Service Engineer in our Security business.

Mission:

In this roleyou will join an experienced team supporting a diverse and exciting customer base, including landmark Airport, Shopping Centre, Pharmaceutical and Manufacturing.

You will not only deliver Security support to an allocated base, but also provide a proactive approach and develop meaningful relationships with your customers and demonstrate our values whilst helping to drive the service transformation and software solutions.

We’d be very keen to hear from candidates with either direct Schneider Security systems (SE Fire panels, Security Expert / Continuum, Pelco CCTV) experience or candidates experienced of working with equivalent systems in a manufacturing / process environment with transferrable skills, looking to move into a new role / career opportunity with us.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide Security (CCTV, Access control and Fire) support to your allocated customers
  • Embed and follow Safety as our No.1 priority with adherence to HSE policies, ensuring requirements are met with the regular review and submission of RAMS, POWRAs use of PPE and Near Miss reporting
  • Operate within Schneider Electric policies and guidelines to ensure we work in a safe and responsible manner taking a zero-tolerance approach to unsafe behaviour
  • Take ownership of your customer base to meet/exceed our contractual requirement and delivering a best in class service and high customer service (CSAT) score
  • Working closely with the customer to identify operational issues that we can resolve
  • Provide clear and concise service visit reports (SVRs) that demonstrate the value of Schneider Electric
  • Knowledge of the region’s financial commitments and working with the Service Operations Manager to deliver on Field Quote orders with proactively identifying solutions for improvements, energy savings, upgrades or repairs
  • Advise and assist the Service Operations Manager / Sales Team with larger opportunities
  • Take part in the team call out rota and support other members of the team where possible
  • Embracing and become a role model for Schneider Electric process and policy adoption, delivering service in the region to the highest ethical standards
  • Ensure you continue to develop your technical and industry knowledge through the Schneider Electric training school and keeping abreast of technological developments in the industry

About you:

  • Qualified in relevant discipline (Engineering/Electrical), please also note that candidates with equivalent level of experience will also be considered
  • You possess previous experience in the Field Service environment, where you had to look after customers
  • You are a motivated individual who would be willing to learn about the product range Schneider Electric can offer its customers
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a must
  • Hold a full driving license
