Are you ready to help us grow our Process Safety team and help our clients work safely?

Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Liability Solutions team in our Leeds office, and take advantage of our Freedom to Grow hybrid working model. We have many other office locations, and for the right candidate other locations can be considered. At AECOM, we deliver a wide variety of Process Safety related consultancy work, including DSEAR assessments, all aspects of COMAH work, risk assessments and Process Safety Management auditing, with well-established partnerships with international and UK clients. We operate in many sectors including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, water infrastructure, combustion power, manufacturing and non-ferrous metals processing. Our current projects include new hydrogen, carbon capture and battery energy storage sites.

In this role you’ll be working directly with clients and our colleagues to:Deliver:

On clients’ sites process safety work, such as DSEAR assessments, risk assessments (such as HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, Functional Safety) and auditing to our existing and new clients.

Provide Expertise:

Offer your technical knowledge to expand our team and capabilities within the wider Liability Solutions Team, mentoring and supporting others.

Ensure Quality:

Work with AECOM’s very high standards for delivering quality proposals, products and services for our clients.

Collaborate:

Work closely with other AECOM teams and clients, to contribute to AECOM’s broader technical capabilities and innovative approaches.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:Experience across a range of Process Engineering and Process Safety Engineering areas including Process Engineering Design, Front End Studies through to Detailed Design, Inherent Safety in Design, Basis of Safety, Plant support and troubleshooting, verification for new projects and existing assets, supporting Hazard Studies, HAZOP, LOPA, Hazardous Area Classification and DSEAR/ATEX, COMAH support.

Knowledge and network within Consultancy Services and target sectors / regions Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas, Energy and Renewables, Food, Bulk Storage & Distribution.

Experience of using recognized software for process engineering, for example PHAST.

Previous UK Security Clearance or prepared to undertake appropriate applications.

A valid, full UK driving licence.

A degree in an engineering or scientific discipline.

Membership or Chartered status with an appropriate Institution.
