Requirements:

A minimum of a PhD or post-doc in Synthetic Organic Chemistry. Minimum of 2 years prior academic or industrial laboratory experience, including experience and knowledge of a wide range of synthetic chemistry reactions and techniques. Ability to effectively contribute to multi-disciplinary scientific teams. Excellent communication skills. Team player

Key roles and responsibilities:

Contributing to the chemistry project by performing experiments and interpreting the results Maintaining clear and accurate records of experiments in laboratory notebooks in accordance with company policy Working as part of the project team and collaborating with cross-functional projects groups to ensure delivery timelines and API quality Demonstrating expertise in core laboratory skills required to support development and scale up of chemical processes Complying with all safety and GMP guidelines.

Pharmaron acquired the Hoddesdon campus, consisting of several purpose built scientific and administrative buildings together with a purpose built conference area in February 2017. The research building has more than 5,000m2 of premier R&D space and houses an established Process Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Drug Discovery teams. In addition, a Formulation Development team was also recently established. The Hoddesdon site has state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard facilities for the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Formulation Development (FD) and Process Chemistry (PC).
