Job Overview

Job Title:Senior Science Technician

Location:Abbeyfield School

Salary:Grade G Point 8-13 £25,992 -£28,163 FTE. Post be paid pro-rata. Actual Salary - £22,356 - £24,224

Start Date:September 2025

Contract Type:Permanent

Working Pattern:37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

About You

Abbeyfield School are seeking a Senior Science Technician to be responsible to the Director of Learning for Science in coordinating the use of, and development of, practical resources and facilities, including the provision of guidance and support in meeting the practical requirements of the science curriculum, including liaison with all areas of the school and outside organisations.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Awareness of standard procedures.
  • Sound working knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations including COSH.
  • Confident user of ICT, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Good planning and organisational skills and a flexible approach to the management of work.
  • The ability to prepare practical demonstrations following COSHH regulations.
