Job Description:

We have an opportunity to join a group committed to becoming the leading provider of sustainable products. The company develops innovative, recyclable insulated packaging for transporting chilled items, serving the food, pharmaceutical, and medical markets.

They are seeking a Senior Sales Manager to play a key role in their growth plans, aiming to become a dominant leader in the recyclable insulated packaging sector and eventually transition into a Sales Director role.

This role involves managing and expanding key accounts, maximizing margins, and developing new business in markets such as pet food, frozen food, and pharmaceuticals.

Role Objectives:

  • Complete an in-depth familiarization with the Group, company culture, products, manufacturing, and processes.
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities in end-user markets like food, pharmaceuticals, and pet food, and explore new markets.
  • Work closely with existing accounts to maximize margins.
  • Build strong relationships with personnel from Director level to shop floor within target and existing customers.
  • Ensure customer expectations are exceeded by facilitating effective communication between customers and manufacturing.
  • Demonstrate business acumen to gain confidence of customers and colleagues.
  • Develop technical understanding of the product range to support customers.
  • Participate in developing sales budgets, strategies, and achieving sales targets.
  • Provide sales analysis, forecasts, pipeline management, and visit reports, updating the business system regularly.
  • Follow up on daily business activities with accurate and timely quotations.
  • Drive sustainability by anticipating market trends and requirements.
  • Meet specific business, sales, and financial objectives.

Ideal candidates will have proven key account, sales, or business development experience in the packaging sector, with success in selling to food, pharmaceutical, medical, or pet food markets. They should possess a technical/engineering mindset, commercial and financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships at all levels.

A passionate team player with strong negotiation skills, motivation, and determination to succeed in a dynamic and growing business will thrive in this role.
