Position Overview Bitfinex and its affiliatedentities (e.g. Tether) are searching for an organized self-starterto join our Regulatory and Licensing team. The successful candidateis someone with a deep understanding of legal and regulatoryrequirements pertaining to the crypto-asset industry in the Europe/ Middle East (“EMEA”) region, and who is excited by theopportunity to apply their existing regulatory experience in anexciting and dynamic business environment. To succeed in this role,the incumbent will continuously strive to self-develop and enhancetheir skill sets including understanding the Company’s products andservices, blockchain technology, crypto-assets and the regulatoryrequirements in the EMEA region. You will have a focus aroundtranslating regulatory requirements in the EMEA region into clearand actionable strategic recommendations, managing relationshipsand communications between various stakeholders both internal andexternal to the business. You will report to the regional Leadwithin the Regulatory and Licensing department, and work alongsideproject managers and members of the wider business to execute onlicensing initiatives in different parts of the globe. The types ofwork you will be involved in include: 1. Regulatory StrategyDevelopment: development and execution of regulatory strategies,identifying preferable market/s in the region from which tooperate. 2. Regulatory Advocacy and Collaboration: participating inregulatory agency interactions, engaging with relevant regulatoryauthorities, industry bodies, and policymakers to shape theregulatory landscape for crypto-asset service providers, advocatingfor policies that promote innovation while ensuring safety andcompliance. 3. Policy Analysis and Guidance: Provide analysis onlocal regulatory proposals, and advise the business on potentialregulatory risks and opportunities, while driving initiatives toinfluence regulatory frameworks as well as monitoring for changeacross regulations to ensure proactive compliance. 4. RegulatoryApproval Process: contribute to the process of obtaining necessarylicense approvals in identified markets, where appropriate. 5.Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g.,legal, compliance, finance) to ensure alignment with regulatoryrequirements and to proactively address emerging regulatorychallenges. Minimum Qualifications * Minimum of 5 years regulatoryexperience within the financial services or crypto-asset industry.* Ability to apply knowledge of key regulatory frameworks in theEMEA region both strategically and operationally and providedirection to resolve complex regulatory issues. * Expertise inpreparing regulatory analysis including the preparation andexecution of interactions with regulatory authorities, such asregulatory consultation response submissions. * Exceptionalcommunication skills, both written and verbal, with experience inpublic speaking and representing companies in regulatorydiscussions. * Must be a strong team player, and willing to befully engaged with key stakeholders both in our company but alsowith our partners. Must have hands-on professional capable ofworking collaboratively and independently, with excellent verbaland written communication skills. * English speaking, Arabic is aplus. * University degree.
