The Role:
The company is seeking aSenior Project Plannerto join their UK-based project team in Oxford. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in mechanical or process engineering planning, who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, develop, and manage detailed project schedules across all phases: design, pre-construction, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning
- Support project managers in producing accurate, deliverable programme of works files
- Produce labour histograms and detailed progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks or delays early
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
- Ensure adherence to planning procedures and company standards
- Assist in identifying project delays or claims and support demonstration for resolution
- Contribute to organisational growth through planning support on new and existing projects
Candidate Profile:
- 5–7 years’ experience in a planning role within the construction industry, specifically in mechanical/process engineering
- Proficient inPrimavera P6,Asta, andMicrosoft Project
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confident in negotiation, scheduling, and time management
- Comfortable using theMicrosoft 365suite
