Senior Outcomes Research Manager(2x positions)

Responsibilities

  1. Design, produce, and disseminate robust real-world data and epidemiological studies to drive innovative strategies and aid evidence-based decision making by national payers across the Prescription Medicine (PM) portfolio, increasing patient access.
  2. Raise awareness of disease and/or product-specific outcomes related to the Boehringer portfolio.
  3. Lead the generation of publications of Outcomes Research studies.
  4. Facilitate the evidence base supporting HTA and payer value propositions related to the Boehringer portfolio.

Accountabilities

  1. Design and lead the production of successful OR and real-world data studies for HTA submissions and payer value propositions in five nations.
  2. Lead protocol development, secure internal protocol sign-off, data analysis, and production of reports and manuscripts in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  3. Stay updated on external developments regarding RWE methodologies accepted by Health Technology Assessment agencies.
  4. Foster in-house development and training of BI Epidemiologists and colleagues in other functions.
  5. Engage with external stakeholders to raise awareness of disease and/or product-specific outcomes.
  6. Disseminate results and interpretations within cross-functional teams to facilitate HTAs and Patient Access objectives.
  7. Produce real-world data to ensure rigorous epidemiological evidence for HTA submissions.
  8. Provide quantitative OR and statistical expertise to Health Economists for economic modelling and data analysis.
  9. Take a prominent role in cross-functional Franchise teams, ensuring OR supports patient access integral to brand strategy.
  10. Lead OR input during the development of UK/Ireland Integrated Asset Evidence Plans for BI products.

Required Education & Knowledge

  1. Degree or equivalent qualification in mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, data science, or related discipline.
  2. Relevant post-graduate qualification, e.g., MSc/PhD in Epidemiology or related discipline.
  3. In-depth knowledge of quantitative outcomes research methods and medical statistics applied to RWE.
  4. Proven knowledge in managing epidemiological data and methods for organizing and analyzing large datasets.
  5. Experience running epidemiological studies, from proposal writing to publication of results.
  6. Knowledge of statistical methods applied to health economics is advantageous.
  7. Good understanding of CPRD (or equivalent anonymized patient-level database) and the UK health system is advantageous.
  8. Good understanding of SQL and R is advantageous.
  9. Able to check the code of the Outcomes Research Managers.
