About the Role

As aSenior Medical Writer, reporting to a (Senior) Scientific Team Lead, you will manage the delivery of high-quality scientific content, ensuring client needs are met in terms of quality, timing, and cost. You will contribute to publication and communication plans by maintaining awareness of developments in therapeutic areas and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Project delivery:Provide strategic direction, manage tactical delivery, act as editorial lead, review scientific content, and liaise with clients and team members.
  2. Business planning and commercial:Apply knowledge of pharmaceuticals, participate in meetings, support business development, and stay updated on therapeutic developments.
  3. Financial:Monitor adherence to budgets, record time accurately, and contribute to revenue targets.
  4. Organisational and teamwork:Develop junior writers, provide coaching and mentoring, support team collaboration, attend meetings, and potentially manage up to 2 direct reports.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:Proven medical writing skills, excellent communication, ability to mentor, client interaction experience, proactive team player, strong organization, and a Life Science degree or equivalent.

Desirable:Higher degree (MSc or PhD), CMPP accreditation, broad therapeutic knowledge.
