Reporting to the Electrical & Electronics Engineering Manager, theSenior Electronic Engineeris responsible for design and development of electronics systems for Continuous Ink Jet printers and will be located in our Huntingdon office, (office and lab-based work).


In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Creating schematic and PCB designs comprising of microprocessor, microcontrollers, CPLD, FPGA and interfacing to digital and analogue sensors and transducers
  • Design and implementation of test rigs and software, for design verification and functional testing
  • Programmable logic design and test benches for individual modules up to complete systems
  • Documentation of the specification and implementation of products
  • Design for volume production of products that are safe, reliable, and meet required industry standards
  • Cross-functional working with the Mechanical Engineering team.


The requirements of the job include:

  • Education, (Degree or above), in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Analogue electronic design experience (discrete and interfacing e.g. to sensors, transducers)
  • Significant digital electronic design experience: microcontroller, microprocessor. CPLD, FPGA is desirable .
  • Programmable logic design experience is desirable (VHDL for FPGAs).
  • Design verification and functional test software is desirable (C/C++, Arduino, Pi).
