Job Description:

Suitable candidates must have experience working in an engineering or in a similar role previously, they must have the ability to

• Technically evaluate electrical design documentation against Electrical and client standards.
  
  
• Create and issue electrical reports
  
  
• Effectively use BIM360 / Navis as part of engineering activities.
  
  
• Redlining of Documentation for site use.
  
  
• Development of cable schedule and construction work packs.
  
  
• Perform / Validate cable size calculations (Trimble or other).
  
  
• Perform / Validate containment capacity studies.
  
  
• Attend FAT’s and SAT’s
  
  
• Identify Equipment and materials which are long lead items
  
  
• Identification of value engineering (VE) opportunities.
  
  
• Provide technical expertise and support across complex problem solving situations.
  
  
• Demonstrate knowledge of Electrical Standards and Systems – below examples are not exhaustive.
  
  
  • Medium and Low Voltage Networks
    
    
  • Electrical Switchgear and Power Distribution
    
    
  • Instrumentation and control systems (BMS/PAS/EAS/PMS)
    
    
  • Containment Systems and applications (Ladder/Tray/Basket/Trunking/Hycon)
    
    
  • Life Safety Systems (Fire Alarm/Disabled Refugee/Smoke Vent etc)
    
    
  • Security and Access Control
    
    
  • UPS Systems
    
    
  • Emergency Lighting and Central Battery Systems.

  Candidate key Skills required:
  
  Electrical Engineering degree
  
  Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / Powerpoint etc)
  
  Excellent communication skills - Candidate must communicate and engage effectively with Client and Team members.
  
  Ability to work autonomously and/or as part of a team
