Job Description

Senior Biomedical scientist / Senior Scientist - Assay Development

Location: Flexible (UK-based) | Salary: £65- 80,000 per annum | Start: Immediate. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as soon as they come in.

Unravel Health is a healthtech startup working in collaboration with the University of Glasgow. We are seeking a senior biochemist to join our exciting mission.

Our mission and the problem we are solving

In the words of the NHS, healthcare is designed by men for men – leading to women spending 25% more years in poor health. Our focus is on women with hormone-linked, chronic conditions who suffer from a lengthy diagnosis, as well as trial and error care that isn’t personalised – ultimately losing years of life to pain.

Only 1 percent of healthcare research is invested in female-specific conditions beyond oncology (and even women’s cancers are only 4%). We are determined to change this. We came together because of our shared passion in closing the women's health gap and changing the lives of billions left without answers about what is happening inside their body.

What we are building

Our first product will be an instant hormone testing device, built on a groundbreaking, multi million pound biosensor.
