Opportunity to work in multiple areas (cytology, haematology, biochemistry, microbiology)
Laboratory Our fully equipped, state-of-the art laboratory is located within the grounds of Scone Equine Hospital, providing rapid and reliable diagnostic support 24 hours a day. We offer round the clock analysis of a wide variety of samples and specimens to assist in the accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of equine patients. This service is supported by specialists in equine veterinary medicine who interpret laboratory results for primary care and referring veterinarians. The Role Our laboratory has a seasonal Scientific Officer position available (August - December). We are looking for someone who is motivated, reliable and flexible with a commitment to customer satisfaction. Participation in an after-hours roster with the ability to work unsupervised will be required. The Culture The lab is a close-knit team who work in a busy environment. Our vision is to be the best at patient care, the best at client relationships and the best place to work. Skills and Experience Customer Focus (external and internal)
Experience in haematology, biochemistry and microbiology
Tertiary qualifications in laboratory science or equine science are required

Flexible seasonal roster with paid penalty rates e.g., shift allowances and overtime
