Research Associate

CK Group are recruiting for a Research Associate to join a global pharmaceutical company, based in Slough, on a contract basis for 12 months.

Salary:

Hourly:From £16.37 PAYE or £22.29 via Umbrella

Research AssociateRole:

Support the team in conducting protein and cell-based functional assays using techniques such as gene reporter assays, FRET, FP, ELISA, etc. Use these protein and cell-based assays to screen small molecules, biologics and new therapeutic modalities. Use liquid handling robotics and screening assay equipment. Use data capture and analysis systems. Analyse data using curve fitting and statistical software. Interpret and summarise results for presentation at project meetings.

Your Background:

A minimum of a B.Sc. or equivalent degree in pharmacology, biochemistry or related discipline. Trained in good sterile technique, tissue culture, and in performing cell-based assays. Knowledge and practical experience of in-vitro plate-based assays, i.e. FRET, FP. Adept in using data processing software, including curve fitting and statistical analysis. Ability to work independently but also as part of a team. Strong communication and presentation skills.
