The role: 

We are seeking a qualified individual to take on the role of Regulatory Compliance Manager, to assume the responsibility of ensuring comprehensive regulatory compliance for both new and existing product lines across the UK, EU, and international markets.

In this hybrid working role, the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of current global cosmetic product regulations. This knowledge will be utilised to conduct comprehensive regulatory assessments, ensuring adherence to compliance standards. Additionally, the successful candidate will be tasked with staying informed about emerging legislation that may impact future product compliance.

As the leader of a global regulatory function, the Regulatory Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in driving and implementing regulatory processes and strategies to maintain and enhance our products' compliance across diverse markets.

What you will do:

Responsible for regulatory aspects of new and existing products. Provide expert regulatory advice and guidance on new products and formulations across cosmetics, home fragrances, and consumer commodities. Ensure regulatory requirements are considered throughout the sourcing and product development process. Remain up to date with upcoming global regulatory changes and updates, ensuring stakeholders are kept up to date with potential business impact. Develop and maintain regulatory procedures to ensure consistent, efficient and compliant regulatory processes. Build and cultivate relationships internally, cross-functionally, and externally with various stakeholders. Facilitating regulatory needs and requests for existing and new customers as well as with internal teams. Build technical regulatory knowledge base of the team to ensure full product compliance in each territory. Manage pack requirements, ensuring all regulatory information on the finished product label is compliant with global cosmetic labelling regulations for different markets through the artwork approval process. Global product registration and notification. Support Operations with product shipping queries and requirements. Maintain relevant documentation in accordance with regulation requirements. Work with trade bodies, technical bodies and regulatory authorities to produce official documentation and certification in line with national and international requirements. Support any queries/challenges from authorities in a timely manner. Supervision of three direct reports with full team management responsibilities.

What you need:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, or a relevant discipline 5+ years of cosmetic regulatory experience in a similar role Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with good interpersonal skills Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage and lead others in a collaborative teamwork setting. Proficient in handling high workloads with short deadlines, thriving in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure, and demonstrating high motivation and proactivity. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
