Recruitment Consultant – Executive Search | MedTech, Life Sciences & Chemicals

Cheshire

£35,000 – £50,000 DOE + Market-Leading Commission

Our client is a leading Executive Search and Headhunting firm with a 25+ year legacy of placing high-impact professionals across the MedTech, Life Sciences, and Chemicals sectors. They don’t chase the quickest win – their consultants are trusted advisors who know their markets deeply and deliver real value to clients through permanent, often retained, search mandates.

They are growing, and are now looking for a driven Permanent Recruitment Consultant to join their high-performing team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing and developing a warm desk across sectors like Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, and Life Sciences, from £50k Sales Professionals to £200k+ Executive mandates
  • Delivering high-quality, search-led recruitment – this is not KPI-heavy contingent recruitment
  • Building strong, consultative relationships with clients and candidates
  • Getting out from behind the desk – client visits are frequent and encouraged
  • Supporting and learning from some of the most experienced exec search professionals in the industry

Who We're Looking For:

  • An experienced permanent recruiter – you must be able to evidence this
  • Proven experience in headhunting, retained search, or building desks in difficult-to-fill markets
  • People who’ve worked in talent-short sectors and know how to dig deep – not just surface-level CV sifting
  • Strong client-facing confidence and intellectual curiosity

What You’ll Get in Return:

  • £35k–£50k basic salary, depending on experience
  • Industry-leading commission structure – around a third of everything you bill
  • Mond – Thurs office based/ Friday WFH
  • Long service rewards – 5–10 year tenure is the norm here
  • Outward-bound and team reward events – work hard, play hard culture
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays + Christmas shutdown

How to Find Hidden Biotechnology Jobs in the UK Using Professional Bodies like the RSB, BIA, BioIndustry Association & More

The UK biotechnology sector is thriving. From cutting-edge gene therapies and synthetic biology to bio-manufacturing and agricultural innovation, the demand for skilled biotech professionals continues to grow. Yet many of the best opportunities—particularly in early-stage companies, startups, and research-intensive roles—are never listed on conventional job boards. So where do these hidden biotech jobs live?
