The role

Due to growth and the continued development of our Aseptic Compounding Facility in Runcorn, we have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join us as the Quality Lead ,overseeing the quality aspects of projects, ensuring they meet established standards and deliver expected outcomes. The responsibilities include developing and implementing quality management plans, monitoring project progress, and identifying and mitigating risks related to quality.

The jobholder will also ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and collaborate with various stakeholders to improve overall project quality.

To be the Quality lead in managing projects as defined by the Quality Director.

The contract will be for a period of 12 months.


Main Accountabilities


The Quality project support manager will be responsible for:

  • Working with the project teams in planning and designing projects and proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.
  • Defining the projects governance arrangements.
  • Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the project - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency , and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other projects and corporate, technical and specialist standards.
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, in accordance with the project plan and project governance arrangements.
  • Ensuring there is allocation of common resources and skills within the project.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders to ensure project engagement.
  • Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects
  • Managing Quality risks within the projects, ensuring a successful outcome


Experience and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Aseptic and Pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • In depth knowledge of microbiology and clean room qualification.
  • Understanding of ICH Quality guidelines and clean validation
  • Project Support / Management experience essential.
  • Results focussed with a natural ability resolve problems and issues as they occur.
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to lead multi disciplinary teams and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements associated with pharmaceuticals production and materials sourcing.
  • Good knowledge of project management methods, formal qualification preferred.
  • Experience of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
