Your new role

  • An exciting opportunity to join ourQuality Control - Microbiologyteam as aQuality Control Analyst I.
  • This is ashift-basedposition (regular evening work) which will provide QC support for the current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) production of cellular therapies and cell banking. 
  • Perform general record keeping and maintain document organisation.
  • Perform trending, review, and reporting of Quality Control data.
  • Assist in the receipt and release of materials for use within RoslinCT GMP facilities.
  • Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and update SOPs for QC activities as required.
  • Complete quality related documentation including QC records, change controls, incidents/deviations and risk assessments in accordance to GMP and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in the day to day running of QC laboratories (performing stock checks, cleaning, waste disposal and coordinating equipment servicing and maintenance).
  • Perform QC assays and environmental monitoring to support business requirements.
  • Partner with other departments to support business requirements.

About you

  • Experience working with microbiological techniques within a commercial life sciences laboratory.
  • Ideally you will have experience in environmental monitoring and will also have experience in incident investigations and a working knowledge of GMP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
  • Creates a positive environment through self-awareness and social skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Your oral and written communication skills with be excellent and will be able to explain technical or complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Able to effectively manage and influence stakeholders’ and customer expectations.
  • You will be organised, with excellent administration and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to learn and share knowledge with the management team and the wider team where appropriate.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a real desire to continually develop and improve our processes.

Qualifications

  • A BSc in a Life Science subject or other equivalent laboratory experience.
