Blackfield Associates is working closely with a leading Life Sciences services provider in the Midlands Region to hire a Quality Team Leader.


This role is an excellent opportunity to lead a team of Quality Assurance specialists and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the organization's Quality System. The role focuses on overseeing Quality Systems, Quality Compliance, and supporting various quality-related projects, as well as managing the Document Control team. As the Quality Compliance Team Leader, you will be responsible for:


  • Leading a team of Quality Assurance professionals, providing expert guidance on compliance standards and optimizing quality systems for efficiency.


  • Managing the Document Control team, ensuring GxP documentation is handled compliantly throughout its lifecycle.


  • Overseeing product complaint management, risk planning, and self-inspection programs to maintain and monitor quality standards.


  • Preparing for and hosting client and regulatory audits, managing training initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement projects to drive quality excellence.


The ideal candidate for this role will hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or life sciences discipline, with extensive experience in a well-established Quality System within the life sciences industry. You should have proven leadership skills, a background in managing a team of quality professionals, and strong project management abilities. An advanced degree, Lead Auditor certification, and experience with regulatory audits such as FDA or MHRA are highly desirable. The right to work in the UK is essential for this role.
