About the role:

We are looking to recruit two full-time and permanent Quality Control Technicians to work within the quality control team based onsite at our Manchester HQ. The Quality Control Technician will perform QC testing on a variety of DNA based IVD kits and components to demanding quality specifications.

Key areas of responsibility:

•Operate and maintain essential equipment to a high standard to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations and recommendations governing safety, health and environmental standards.

•Perform and document appropriate Stability Testing of released components

•Perform and document appropriate in-process testing and goods-in testing for items manufactured or procured by Yourgene Health

•Ensure supply of products on time, cost efficiently and to the required regulatory standards and product specifications to ensure business and customer needs are met.

•Carry out laboratory and administration maintenance activities such as reagent preparation, stock checks, stock ordering, filing and archiving in accordance with the relevant regulations and recommendations governing safety, health and environmental standards.

•Contribute to process improvement programs and troubleshooting through the performance of non-routine operations and reporting of data..

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

•HND / Degree in an appropriate Biological Science

•Understanding of principles of GMP

•PCR and fragment analysis experience

•DNA extraction and quantitation experience

•Strong pipetting skills

•Methodical and organised approach to work

•Computer literate with competence in MS Office
