We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to lead our business development initiatives, develop compelling customer proposals, and act as the primary client contact at our site.


About the Role


As a key member of our team, you will work closely with Business Development, Project Management, and cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities. You will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with global teams, and supporting seamless project transitions from proposal to execution.


Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with Business Development and Project Management teams to review and understand new business requirements from RFIs and RFPs.
  • Gather and coordinate technical information, resources, costs, and timelines from Functional Managers to develop comprehensive proposals.
  • Work with Program Managers and Business Operations across global Piramal Pharma sites to prepare integrated proposals for multi-site projects.
  • Develop detailed business proposals, including technical scope, pricing, timelines, and project Gantt charts.
  • Liaise with Functional Managers to schedule new business activities and promptly flag any potential scheduling conflicts to senior leadership.
  • Support proposal presentations and client discussions, ensuring clarity and responsiveness to customer queries.
  • Coordinate the review and response process post-proposal submission and assist in closing deals.
  • Facilitate project handovers to Project Managers before kick-off, supporting initial project setup and activities.
  • Contribute to internal review meetings, providing insights on potential new business opportunities.
  • Prioritize RFPs and RFIs in collaboration with the Commercial Manager and Leadership team based on strategic importance and customer needs.
  • Assist project teams with post-award questions and support change order processes.
  • Support customer meetings (virtual or face-to-face), including preparing agendas and documenting minutes.
  • Act as the main point of contact during the proposal process, communicating issues transparently and suggesting solutions.
  • Ensure all contractual documentation, including proposals and Purchase Orders, are accurately communicated to Finance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Commercial group to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide support during customer visits, audits, and technical project meetings as needed.

  • Client Relationship Management:Maintain professional service standards and manage client expectations. Your first impression will be crucial in establishing trust and securing new business.
  • Technical Knowledge:Understanding of development requirements and manufacturing processes related to pharmaceutical technologies.
  • Planning & Organisation:Ability to manage multiple proposals and RFIs simultaneously, working effectively with Functional Managers to ensure timely responses.
  • Effective Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic & Business Acumen:Awareness of organizational workflows and the ability to collaborate across departments, leveraging internal expertise.
  • Collaborative Working:Build strong working relationships within onsite project teams and the wider Business Development group.
  • Interpersonal Skills:Persuasion, negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing abilities.
  • Commercial Awareness:Ability to scope projects fully, work with Finance and Commercial teams to accurately cost projects, and plan revenue streams.
  • Technical Proficiency:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Project (Gantt), and data management tools.
