Project Manager - Automation/Control Systems

The ROLE
The Project Manager - Automation/Control Systems will deliver Systems Integration/controls and automation projects mainly in the food industry. The minutia of the role includes;

  • Project Management of control systems with a dedicated automation delivery team
  • Preparation of detailed technical customer quotations for bespoke Control Systems
  • Liaise directly with customers throughout the project
  • Provide technical supervision of system design, build and installation personnel
  • Customer site visits as and when required

    The CANDIDATE
    Our client is looking for a Project Manager with the following background:

  • Experience in system integration
  • Ability to understand and produce control system design documents.
  • Understanding of technical project life cycle.
  • Knowledge:
    o System for in process and manufacturing environments
    o PLC based control system architecture
    o PLC, HMI & SCADA coding
    o On site commissioning of industrial control systems
  • Working knowledge of industrial hardware systems
    o Control panel design and assembly
    o Site installation design
    o Control system hardware LV distribution/MCC/PLC/Safety/instrumentation
    o Hardware design documents (circuit schematics, I/O schedules, motor schedules)
  • Ideally from the Food Process and Beverage sector

    Package:
    Salary £55,000 - £65,000 Depending on experience,
    Company pension scheme,
    25 Days holiday, plus bank holidays
