You will excel as part of our Program Management team, who have responsibility for the management of multiple complex cross-functional projects, driven according to timelines and revenue milestones to support client and business needs.

As a Program Manager, you will be a key part of the team and site’s successes with responsibility for supporting the management of projects through effective and positive partnering along with a shared passion for the important work we do by ensuring all project stages, as well as the development of project timelines and plans are achieved.

Curia Glasgow has a productive Program Management team of 7 that share responsibility for the management of multiple projects with different levels of complexity. Each of our Program Managers is responsible for assigned client projects, enabling good client relationships to be formed to develop a clear project management plan from the outset with close management through all stages. The PM position partners across the site and globally with all teams to coordinate regular technical and milestone updates, ensuring effective and consistent cross-functional project and resource management processes are delivered to exceed the clients' requirements on schedule and within revenue milestones. Our teams operate at the highest class in the pharmaceutical industry to GMP standards, Class A cleanrooms, which is a heavily regulated environment, and tasks are required to be carried out in compliance with all relevant internal Curia procedures, GMP, MHRA regulations and customer-specific documentation.

Expected level of knowledge and demonstrated competencies


To be successful in this position we expect you to already have an excellent level of written and verbal communication including report writing, a commercial and financial awareness. We value relationships therefore, to succeed you will need to have a strong partnering approach with every client and colleague. Curia is a fast-paced business, held to strict deadlines. Therefore, we have high expectations to ensure we deliver for our clients, and their patients. You will have a will-do, solution-focused mindset.


  • Ability to develop a clear project management plan for all levels of project complexity.
  • Ability to draw on knowledge or experience in utilising a project management system, such as Planisware to generate Gantt timelines for projects.
  • Understand the scope of work and define project timelines and milestones to cross functional project team members.
  • Partner with department leads to ensure optimal capacity and project planning
  • Facilitate client project meetings throughout project lifecycle, ensuring communication lines are clearly defined using the Communication Plan and Contact Matrix as guidance.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the project team and client.
  • Demonstrate and promote effective teamwork with all cross functional teams, managing relationship to ensure buy in and accountability to deliver.
  • Manage the change order process according to standard template and process flows
  • Ensure systems CRM sales force and Oracle is updated with current information for all projects and change orders.
  • Pre-empt and ensure timely escalation of potential challenges or current issues to Line Manager/Manager of Program Management as appropriate.
  • Can demonstrate a full or phased project review at appropriate stages of the project.
  • Identifies and hosts lessons learned, along with close-out meetings
  • Maintains an accurate record of revenue and billing associated with all projects and pro-actively participate in weekly OTIF meetings.


Qualifications and Experience required: qualified to degree level (BSc), or equivalent, in a science-related discipline is required.


  • Project Management Certification; PRINCE 2, PMP or equivalent is desirable, with working knowledge of proven methodologies and principles and proven experience in a program/project management role.
  • GMP manufacturing experience background would be highly advantageous.
  • Highly proficient IT skills, particularly MS Office Excel, Word and Project
  • Experience in managing a CRM system, ideally Oracle Planisware is advantageous.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to tracks costs/budgets/financial reporting related to the project is important.
  • Strong partnering and influencing skills in a positive manner with a data driven approach. A proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Customer related experience and client facing skills
  • Good knowledge of Curia services, contract development / research, pharmaceutical and biotech industries is highly advantageous.
  • Understanding of processes, technical issues, requirements of all the individual business and service lines
  • Good networking ability and able to be decisive in decision making when facing ambiguity.
  • Proven flexibility in adjusting to a rapidly evolving workload and remaining calm under pressure
