Production Operatives - Metals Experience Preferred (Multiple Roles Available) | Aerospace Manufacturing | Royston | £NEG | 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday



MERITUS are working with a global Aerospace manufacturing company supporting their Royston based production team. They're looking to grow their team considerably & have a number of roles available.


The company are an industry leader in precision machined components for aerospace engines. They're looking for experienced production operatives with exposure to working within regulated industries i.e. Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Rail, Nuclear or similar. Exposure to metal forming / deforming would be highly beneficial.


They have the following roles available:

  • Fabricator Welders
  • Metallic Production Operatives
  • Insulation Operatives
  • Machine Operatives


The roles are standard days (Monday - Friday), 37.5 hours per week.



Main Responsibilities:


  • Operate machinery and equipment to cut, shape, and finish aerospace-grade metals according to technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on materials and finished components to ensure compliance with aerospace industry tolerances and safety regulations.
  • Follow strict health, safety, and environmental procedures, including the use of PPE and safe handling of heavy or hazardous materials.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any defects, equipment issues, or deviations from process specifications to the supervisor promptly.



Skills Required:

  • Experience working in a production role within a regulated manufacturing environment i.e. Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear, Rail, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals or similar.
  • Experience in one or more of the following Metal Forming / De-Forming, Welding, Fabrication, Insulation.
  • Willingness & ability to learn.
