Lead EMEA Recruiter at Point of Rental Software Point of Rental is seeking an experienced Product Owner with primary responsibilities for owning the product backlog and leading sprint planning and execution.
Point of Rental Software provides smart, scalable rental and inventory management software to over 4,800 business locations of all sizes and industries.
The Product Owner participates on a cross-functional Agile Scrum team to develop and maintain Point of Rental software products to support customer acquisition and retention, based on the customer’s needs, the competitive landscape, industry trends, and business value to the company.
Their leadership and product knowledge guide the Design and Development teams’ efforts and ensure the development requirements are met. The Product Owner works as a peer with the Product Managers to ensure the execution aligns with the Product strategy and business goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Own, prioritise, and maintain the Product Backlog, including defining epics, writing user stories, documenting defects, and defining acceptance criteria and business requirements documents to support design, development, and testing efforts.
Working with stakeholders, plan and execute Sprints that balance initiatives of Product Roadmap, Customer Satisfaction, Technical Innovation and Debt.
Collaborate with Product Managers to define, analyse, and communicate internally the Product Roadmap in alignment with customer needs and business objectives as supported by business cases, market research, customer data, and competitive analysis.
Lead, collaborate with, and motivate a cross-functional team of developers, testers, and others to develop, execute, and release in alignment with product roadmaps.
Communicate with internal stakeholders about the prioritisation of the Product Backlog and the product and release progression status. Fully understand and validate the business strategy and vision.
Work with internal stakeholders to develop metrics to manage and track benefits, customer satisfaction, adoption, and risks to operations.
Release Notes, Technical and Go To Market documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
Strong project management skills: experience managing a product backlog, release plan, writing user stories, and customer personas.
Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to guide a cohesive strategy.
Ability to quickly prototype ideas and communicate them to team members.
Exceptional verbal communication and technical writing skills with an ability to effectively interact with and convey information to people who possess varying levels of understanding of applicable topics.
Location: Remote/Hybrid
The Product Team at Point of Rental is generally remote with hybrid work in our Reading office twice a week. We use the office as a tool to workshop and collaborate with our team and stakeholders but most time is spent remotely. You will occasionally be expected to visit customers across the UK.
Job Type : Full-Time, Salary. Monday-Friday, 8a-5p. Hybrid Atmosphere.
