Process Operator, Pharmaceutical/ GMP

Location: Stevenage
Type: Permanent
Salary: c£27000+ 12.5% shift allowance (c£30,975)

Mon - Friday rotating days and evenings

Week 1: Mon - Fri 6.00-14.00
Week 2: Mon- Fri 14.00 - 22.00

Our Client, a Pharmaceutical/ ingredients company are growing their production team and looking to recruit one possibly two Production/ Process Operators to work at their modern facility & play a crucial role within the production process.

The Role:

• To work alone or as a part of a small team to undertake production schedules
within the manufacturing facility.
• Recording details of process jobs on batch manufacturing records.
• To input jobs and material movements on SAGE/ materials & financial
• management systems.
• Team leadership skills. An ability to step into the role of the Team Leader as
required during holidays or absence/ deputise
• To Carry out basic in process testing such as pH or Brix' measurement
• Working with packaging & warehouse teams and extraction teams to ensure a
smooth flow of material.
• Cleaning of process equipment and work areas and assistance with site
• maintenance.
• Working in other functions within the unit which may be deemed
necessary on a day-day basis.
• Taking part in or occasionally lead deviation investigations
• Good writing skills needed to be able to author manufacturing SOPs etc
• Observing safe working practices and to work at all times in line with the
requirements of Health and Safety regulations.

The Person:

• The ideal Candidate will have experience in a BRC (food or drink) related production setting and/or GMP (GMP can be taught)
• Experience working with IT systems (SAGS, Microsoft applications etc)
• Experience working with / to SOPs, following H&S standards
• Ideally will have experience in material extraction, evaporation, liquids manufacturing, filling & packaging etc
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills needed to communicate with various teams, also the ability to deputize/ work on initiative and work independently when needed (after training)
